Shelley Levy

British artist Shelley Levy bases herself between two vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, London and Los Angeles. Fueled by her imagination and voyeuristic artistic tendencies, she feels compelled to paint stories through her work.

She has been commissioned by a diversely interesting client base including LAX, Sony Pictures, live burlesque shows, the iconic L.A. Farmers Market and the Melrose and Fairfax market. Shelley’s has sold work to celebrity clientele such as Melissa McCarthy. She has been featured in the L.A. Times and on television programmes in the United States. Shelley has shown her work in solo shows located in Chelsea, London as well as several shows located in the United States.

Art in the time of Covid has seen a new style emerging in her work. An exploration of boundless colour saturates imaginary vistas - speaking of something fresh and unexplored. Shelley is a mixed media painter, incorporating oil pastels, oil paints, watercolours, acrylics as well as with whatever she feels the piece demands. She will often take an unfinished piece and finish it digitally.
