Özlem Thompson

Born in Istanbul, Özlem Thompson is a London based painter whose ‘inner voice’ led her towards her art, but in its many tones her background in biology and botany can still be seen. In her work, nature is abstracted through a reflection of how she sees and interprets the world, inviting the viewer to ponder their own interpretation. Özlem’s creations are dream-like, where nature and fantasy are combined through vivid colours and shapes.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, in London, Madrid and New York. Özlem’s work now resides in private collections globally, where their intellectual concepts and visual ideas of real and imagined organic structures are able to live on.
